Good-bye Digital Media and bloggy blog!!

I don't want to go onto the next program because I love this group and this program. It is so much fun. I love doing digital imaging and using photoshop and making the yearbook. It has been amazing and I've made new friends and became closer to Sammie =] It's awesome how close we all have grown and how much we all have learned.

Good bye Mrs. T, you've been awesome!!!

Best thing...

Q. What is the best thing you have learned this far in WIA?

A. The best thing so far would probably be movie maker or photoshop. (Although I didn't learn photoshop I already knew it.) I've never used movie maker so it was nice to learn a new program. Photoshop is my favorite though. Especially Photoshop Creative Suite 3. I love being able to make weird and cool things on photoshop.

Important assets

Q. What do you think is an important asset you have that you can give to your team? Are you dependable? Creative? Give an example.

A. I think my important asset I have to offer to my team is my knowledge of the programs we are using and my open mindedness. I know that those both have helped us out greatly. I personally think I'm dependable; I like to help others before me and I like to get things done and get it done right the first time. I think I'm somewhat creative seeing as I'm in digital media but I do have my problems in creativity, for example, I can't just make a paintbrush on photoshop, I have to download them because I can't make what I always want.

In the yearbook, how do you want to be remembered?

Q. In the yearbook, how do you want to be remembered?

A. I would like to be remembered as "That rad chick Stina!" to me that would so cool if people thought I was "rad" or "cool" because I've always felt people didn't like me, I don't know why but I always feel that people are talking behind my back when I first meet them or that they flat out don't like me. It would definitely be a confidence boost. Also I think it would be cool if they said something on how I helped out with the group because I've done this all before. I like to be told I've doen a good job seeing as I'm not ever really told that, so that too would be a great confidence boost.

How was your first week of WIA?

Q. How was your first week of W.I.A.?

A. My first week was really cool; I made many friends, and hung out with some current friends. The digital media program is really cool, I really like it. I've already done digital media so this has been a breeze to me and it has been tons of fun. I like how we have made posters, pictures, took pictures, used photoshop, and the fake applications, it was helpful, so was that list. Mrs. T. knows how to make everything fun here so it's a really cool group. The first day we all were talking away about everything and anything, it's really cool how we all can get along that way.

WIA Posters

So, we made our WIA posters for the contest thing. Good luck to us all. I decided to post mine up on the blog. I don't think it's the best, but it's alright.

Commercials and such.

Q. What is the first commercial that comes into your mind? What is it for? So like it or not?

The first commercial I thought of was the meow mix with the kitty singing "I want tuna, I want chicken, Meow Mix flavors keep me lickin." or "I like chicken, I like liver, Meow Mix Meow Mix please deliver!" and there is also the lovely jingle that you can very easily get stuck in your head "Meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow" (And now I bet you are singing it right to the tune too!) This commercial was obviously for cat food. I guess I liked it, I just don't like getting the jingle stuck in my head but that's what it's suppose to do so you buy their products, right?

What I look for in a future employee...

Q. Now that you have established your own business, what 5 things would you look for in an employee?

Five things I would look for in an employee is responsibility, positive attitude, cooperates, reliable, and knows how to handle many different situations. Also it would be a big plus if they can work well with children and other people. I don't need someone who is going to be mean to the kids during a photo shoot, that can take away lots of customers and cause lots of problems.

My business logo, card, and ad

Q. Explain your business and what it does. Upload your logo and advertisement when proofread and approved.

My business is your typical photography studio. It's used to take pictures in studio and out. It's pretty much for family photos, senior pictures, pet pictures, friends, and well anything else. We can also travel out to weddings, birthdays, parties, and basically anywhere else we are needed. The picture above is my redesigned logo, my original is the one I used on my business card. I like this one better because it can be placed pretty much anywhere, the background is just a darker white because of the paintbrush I used to do the little stars.

This is my business card, I designed the front and back the same to keep it simple I guess. There is no change in the design. I did change the font on the back so it was easier to read. The front of the card was originally my logo but in order to put the logo on lets say a white paper you have to have a colorless background.
And finally, my magazine ad. This one was a little difficult to make the words all read-able but I managed to pull this one off too. This is for the "Grand Re-opening." I thought that would be good enough to pull the customers in after re-designing the studio or something.

Logo's and such.

Q. Search the Internet for 3 logos for businesses in your career area. When you find them, post them on your blog and explain why you picked them.

For mine I have a couple of career choices in mind.

I'll start off with being a photographer. I chose the Diamond Studio logo because it seems pretty unique. I've looked through logos and this one had more glam to it which is something I like to go for. I like the font and the stars and the smoke effect under the name add great flow to the logo. The illustration of the camera being centered it sort of adds balance to the whole picture.

If I don't become a photographer I'd like to do is go into digital media, and work somewhere in that field. I chose this logo because it is very creative, which is just what you need in digital media. All of the blocks balance out the picture and the tree centered looks really cool.

Finally, if I decide to, I'm still in the process of deciding, I would like to join the Marines. They don't really have a specific logo other than the E.G.A (Eagle, Globe, and Anchor) and their saying The Few, The Proud. I chose this logo over the other random ones because it's plain, simple, and to the point.

You just learned about careers in your break out...

Q. You just learned about careers in your break out, what career sounds like the best match for you? Why? How much school is required? How much money will you earn?

I would like to do photography, and I got director of photography. A related job to it is photography which is what I chose. I love to take pictures and use photoshop so I think I could take this hobby and turn it into a career. It doesn't exactly say how much school is needed but you may be required to get an associates degree with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Most generally earn between $15,000 and $55,000 a year. The median salary is generally around $26,000. It just depends on who you work for, what type of photography you do, and how much publicity you get.

What is WIA to you?

Q.What is W.I.A to you?

A. I'm not too sure what exactly W.I.A is to me. I guess I'd say it is a program that helps out students in need; but it is also more than that. Mrs. Hillock has done her job plus some. When I need someone to talk to about my problems she's right there.
Being in W.I.A is great, it is an awesome program to help you when you get knocked backwards or are stumbling through some obstacles. I'm not too sure what else I can say as to what W.I.A is to me. All it pretty much is is a useful program that has helped me through many of things.
